Animal Experiment Update

Hey SEALians,
We hope you had a good time at physics night down in Denver. I think we all learned that school buses are tough to sleep on. Props to D-Rock for the live music.

Take a minute and let the class know about the status of your Animal Experiment. I have some pictures of some of your experiments, I will email them to you.

1. What have you done? Ex. created a maze for ants, or performed experiment.
2. What are you doing this week? Ex. performing experiment, analyzing data (be specific) or creating presentation poster.

Posting hint: write your initial entry in Word, copy ---> paste into the blog

Adam and I have performed an experiment on meal worms and how second hand cigarette smoke affects them. This week we will be reviewing our experiment and making a poster to present.

For our experiment, our question was, “Do different types of music affect our bodies differently?” We took baseline data for each participant, meaning we did a blood pressure test, electrical skin response test, and a pulse test before each participant listened to any music. Then we played a fast pace hip-hop song and did the tests again. Lastly, we played a slow beat/ reggae song and performed the tests once again. This week, we are putting all of our data into graphs, and posting them on a visual board. Also, we are filling out our lab review worksheets.
